Talk by Samuel Melia

This talk will focus on why falls happen, the common risk factors and what can be done to reduce the likelihood of falling. We will cover the importance of strength, balance, mobility, and staying active, as well as practical tips to improve safety at home and in everyday life. The session will also discuss how exercise and simple lifestyle changes can help maintain independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing
Sam is a Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapist at Physio-logical, based on the lovely Stansted Park Estate, Rowlands Castle. He has two years of experience working in private practice, helping people improve their movement, reduce pain, and build confidence in their physical abilities.
Before training as a Physiotherapist, he worked as a personal trainer with a background in strength and conditioning. This gave him a strong understanding of exercise, balance, mobility and how to help people stay active safely and effectively.
