Did you know that the village of Selborne was home to a pioneering 18th-century naturalist who influenced Charles Darwin, among others?

Discover more about Gilbert White (and his house and gardens, which are open to visitors) by coming along to a talk at Petersfield Community Centre on Monday 13 January at 2.30 pm.

Other open meetings (also featuring guest speakers) being held at the Community Centre this month are:

Wednesday 15 January at 2.30 pm: West Dean, a feudal estate

Tuesday 21 January at 2 pm: Energise Me

Tuesday 28 January at 2 pm: Challenges and progress in finding biotechnological solutions to plastic pollution

And don’t forget the first coffee morning of 2025 will be at the Centre on Wednesday 29 January (10 am-12.30 pm).
