Science and Technology Open Meetings take the form of an hour-long presentation on a very wide variety of scientific or technological topics, followed by 30 minutes of comments, questions and discussion.
The presenter are chosen as being someone knowledgeable on the subject, often they are researchers or academics actively working on their subject area.

We also have established a number of Hands on Science at Churchers College sessions where we get to do some simple science experiments, its great fun!

See the What`s On page for details of the forthcoming meetings and Hands on Events you can sign up to.

We are joined by associate members of Liphook U3A and are always open to suggestions for speakers, either from within our U3A or from elsewhere. Please let the group leaders Malcolm and John know of any ideas. We have been guided by a steering group, if you are willing to join in, assisting us to organise these valuable meetings, trips or other events please get in touch.
