Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch post impressionist painter, and amongst the most famous and influential of figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade he created over approximately 2000 works of art, which included around 800 in oils, most of them in the last two years of his life. He sadly died at the young age of only 37 years.
Bob has spoken to us most knowledgeably on numerous occasions, his subjects often based on the collections of pictures at Petworth and Uppark Houses. Over time he has raised more than £15.000 for various charities from the fees he has raised from the many talk he has given on historical and art subjects. This talk he has prepared especially for us to coincide with our October trip to the exhibition in London. Details here
