Eddie hated authority as far back as he could remember. He was always in trouble with the law. He was in prison in Jersey when the Germans invaded in 1940. Rather than spend the whole war in prison he offered his services to the Third Reich to become a German Agent.

Highly trained in sabotage and spy-craft he was sent to Britain on a very dangerous mission but instead he turned himself in to MI5 and became a double agent later to become known as Agent Zig Zag .
