Our National u3a Office maintains insurance to protect all u3a branches and their members and trustees from specific risks that may arise during u3a activities. A summary of the key features of these insurances is on the National u3a website (search for ‘Insurance Overview), but it is not available to the general public. Our National u3a Office has also produced a helpful set of frequently asked questions (FAQ) about insurance matters. These give examples of real-world situations that explain, for example, the extent of insurance coverage provided, what to do when an incident occurs, and where risk assessments are advised.
