Rarely a day goes by when the NHS isn’t in the news.
So how topical that Dr Richard Kershaw, a partner at Swan Surgery, is making a return visit to Petersfield u3a.
On Tuesday 20 May at 2pm at Petersfield Community Centre, this local GP will provide an informed update on the NHS and primary health care.
He will go on to explain how patients can make the most of current services.
At the end of Dr Kershaw’s presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Around & About

  • Did you know that Petersfield u3a is going to be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year?
Plans to mark this milestone are currently being finalised and will be announced soon.
In the meantime, did you join our u3a between 1995 and 2000? Or do you have any photographs/memorabilia/memories you can share from the early years? If the answer to either question is ‘yes’, please contact events@petersfieldu3a.org.uk.
  • If you’re looking for a group which is fun, sociable and active, then surely Table Tennis ticks all the boxes.
The group – which would welcome two or three more members - meets every Monday morning at the Taro Leisure Centre. Skill levels range from beginners to ‘fairly good’, with everyone playing doubles in a friendly atmosphere. Equipment can be provided.
After the hour-long session, many members enjoy winding down with a cuppa in the Taro café.
  • Like to help keep our members ‘Connect-ed’?
If you enjoy writing and would relish the chance to bring u3a stories alive, we’d love you to join our ‘Connect’ editorial team.
This is a fun, creative role which involves working alongside our editor, proofreaders and IT support.
If you’d like to know more, please visit the volunteering page on our website.

Have Your Say

‘Connect’ always welcomes news from Petersfield u3a members via u3aeditorconnect@gmail.com.
To make sure the e-newsletter is easy and interesting to read – and the style is consistent – copy is likely to be edited. The original version of any submission can be posted on the relevant page on our website and easily accessed from ‘Connect’ via a link.

“I don’t think copy in ‘Connect’ should be edited, provided it is relatively well-written, no spelling or glaring grammatical errors and contains a level of interest. There has to be a level of ‘Editor’s license’.” Pamela P.

The next issue of ‘Connect’ will be emailed to you on Saturday, 3 May.
