Interesting to read Heather's note,  the talks follow a narrow spectrum, what if you are not interested in Art, History & Science, there is a myriad of other topics

I have more than once asked the Speaker Secretary to consider other subjects to no avail, a survey of members interests should be undertaken, then relavant convenors asked to suggest topics/speakers.

With such a diversity of user groups, to continue with the highbrow stuff is counter productive in my view.
