All u3a groups are run by volunteer members and the success of each group depends on this support to continue to thrive and develop. By the time we reach retirement age we will all have a wealth of experience in the workplace and have acquired a variety of skills and considerable knowledge. In joining the u3a you are able continue to develop your skills and extend your knowledge in many areas, thanks to the variety of groups’ activities on offer. At the same time these same skills and knowledge base can be used for the benefit of the success of the group as a whole. We encourage new members to get involved in this way, it is one of the best ways of meeting new people and getting to know all the opportunities available.
