Talk by Lesley Jordan

Whitchurch Silk Mill is a gem of an industrial site, situated in beautiful rural Hampshire on the River Test, built originally as a weaving factory in 1800 and then converted to a silk mill in 1817..

It passed through several ownerships until  it was bought by the Hind family in 1866 and remained with the same family until 1955.

Today it is a working heritage site that preserves traditional weaving skills, and is open daily to the public.
