The Petersfield u3a Welcome Team acts as a first call of friendship and information for new members.
When new members receive their membership cards, one of the Welcome Team will make contact to introduce themselves and see how they might help. New members are also offered a bi-monthly opportunity to meet u3a members at the Petersfield Community Centre. Dates of meetings are publicised in the weekly Connect e-publication sent to all members every week.
The u3a offers new friendships, new interests, and information on all groups.
Many people simply want to make new friends and some have particular interests. u3a groups, outings and lectures are explained. The very valuable weekly Members of the Welcome Team also try to be at local events to meet new members and introduce them to others.
